Lancaster Employment & Skills Pledge

November 20, 2019 - News

We are the first employer to sign Lancaster City Council’s Employment and Skills Pledge, which will see us provide local people with education and training opportunities to enable them to gain meaningful employment.

Our Pledge forms part of a City planning condition on our Lancaster University Sports Hall Extension project. The Pledge will be externally validated by CSTEP (part of Calico), prior to formal discharge. We are working closely with CSTEP, our supply chain partners, Lancaster City Council and the University to ensure we all exceed the expectations of the pledge.

Business Development Manager, Neil Conlon said:

We’ve always been committed to supporting local residents by giving back to the communities we work in. In signing this Pledge, we’re focused on providing a positive outcome for Lancaster, helping local people learn industry skills and access clear pathways into employment, as well as raising aspirations and shaping the next generation of construction talent.
