On behalf of Lancashire County Council and Blackburn Diocese, construction work is to begin on Heyhouses Endowed CE Primary School in early summer 2013.
The existing two-form junior school is to be replaced by an enlarged, brand new, 12 classroom school, which will include 3 rooms for reception children, a hall and a kitchen – meaning the children will no longer have to walk across to the other building at lunchtimes.
After completion of the new building, the old junior school will be demolished and new playing fields will be created.
The school is set to be complete in Summer 2014.
