October 1, 2015 - News

We have completed a 12-month project to deliver new purpose-built facilities for Sir Tom Finney Community High School in Preston.  The school was officially opened on 1st October by Freddie Flintoff, Councillor Matthew Tomlinson and Jermaine Beckford.  (See Twitter Feed for more photos from the day)

The new £5m school, commissioned by Lancashire County Council, is an extension and refurbishment of the former Ashton Community Science College on Ribbleton Hall Drive.

Designed to accommodate 140 people with a broad spectrum of Special Education Needs (SEN), the 64,584 sq. ft. school includes a new hydrotherapy pool, ancillary accessible changing, toilet and shower facilities, hard and soft landscaping and a sensory garden.

Michael Conlon, Chairman, said:

“Thanks to our broad range of experience delivering education projects, we have been able to create a school that will support the pupils with an engaging environment that will support ongoing development.
