Official Opening at Aintree Davenhill Primary School

Andrew Eland, Site Manager and Michael Conlon met HRH Countess of Wessex at the official opening of Aintree Davenhill Primary School on the 24th April 2013.

On arriving at the school, HRH Countess of Wessex met teachers, pupils, the Mayor and Mayoress of Sefton, Cllrs Kevin and Linda Clusky, other councillors, Sefton Council staff, the design team, Friends of Davenhill and other school volunteers.

Guy Parker, Construction Division MD, said

A special day for the school which included a fantastic singing performance from the children.  It was wonderful to see the children enjoying their newly transformed learning environment.

Deena Kelley, Aintree Davenhill Headteacher, said

We were absolutely delighted to welcome HRH The Countess of Wessex to officially mark the opening of the new look school.

Cllr Ian Moncur, Cabinet Member Children, Schools, Families and Leisure, said

From the very onset this scheme has been a resounding success.
